In the above video Sensei Mike Dunn demonstrates a simple pressure point knockout that can only be carried out by an experienced, fully trained and qualified Instructor.
Strikes to pressure points and/or vital points are very dangerous and should only be used for self-defence. These strikes require many years of training to perfect the techniques, so that ensure that no long-term injury occurs.
Sensei Mike Dunn trains it's more senior and/or experienced students to use pressure points and vital strikes, as part of their regular karate and self-defence training.

Weapon defence and disarming is taught to all students..
